Phytoplankton Images

For more information on phytoplankton imagery, including sample images and a tutorial, head over to the WWW pages at the Goddard Space Flight Center. The Gulf of Maine Aquarium has also created an animation depicting the change in phytoplankton concentration in the North Atlantic Ocean over one year.

To load any of these images to your hard disk, click on the image and wait for the full image to appear. From the File menu on your browser chose the Save as option. Be sure to save the images as "Source" rather than text.
